Now cozy and relaxing, this room was once a hardworking workshop to the skilled silk weavers or “zijdelakenfabrikeurs” whose luxurious export Charmeuse, and Jacquard helped build the Dutch trading empire. While retaining much of its historical charm, The Silk room has all the modern conveniences including a large flat-screen tv and wireless internet access. The welcoming queen-sized bed is made all the more so with natural bedding from Cocomat. An ensuite bathroom with combination bath / shower and W/C as well as in-room coffee and tea making facilities bring added comfort. There is also a little bench on the street, in front of the Silk room that allows you to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine outside in true Amsterdam-style.

*For longer stays, we offer to make up your room every 3-4 days.
